Royal Caribbean International announced that its first of the seas cruise ship (Sovereign Of The Seas) will transfer to pullmantur cruises. the companys CEO announced that the ship still has life left, but just not with Royal Caribbean. Sovereigns sister ship, Monarch Of The Seas, will take its place in 3/4 night cruises from the port of Miami. Monarch Of The Seas will be continuing her rought from the port of Los Angeles until march of 08 when she will take a 16 night cruise through the Panama Canal.
Sovereign will have to other of her sister ships, Monarch and Majesty Of The Seas, stay with Royal Caribbean for at least one or two more years. It will be a mattewr of time before Sovereigns sister ships transfer from Royal Caribbean to other Cruise Lines. Royal Caribbean is also transfering thier smallest ship, Empress Of The Seas, to Pullmantur cruises in 08 also. However, Empress Of The Seas is not in the same situation as Sovereign Of The Seas as of her age, but that as of Empress and her size, she doesnt fit in with Royal Caribbeans other ships.
