Last year i took a cruise on Royal Caribbeans massive Vision of the seas. To begin with this review, we go about a year before the review when my parents told me we had planned a cruise (im 13). I had never really new what a cruise really was. I had seen a few commercials, but never really paid attention to them. It was my parents anniversery, and it would turn out to be the best anniversery for them, and the best vacation for me. About a year later, i found myself in a truck headed to Los Angeles for a 7 night mexican cruise. I woke up the morning of the cruise, i looked outside and tried to see if i could see the ship over the city, i couldnt. We ended up leaving about 11:30 to go to the terminal. We eventually got there and saw to ships, the one to the right was NCLs Norwegeian Star, The one to the left was Royal Caribbeans Vision of the seas, our ship. It took about 30 minitues to get on to the ship. We were first introduced to the great big centrum witch stood 11 decks high. After we got finished with the lifeboat drill, we set sail to our first port, Cabo San Lucas. I woke up and looked outside the balcony window, we wernt at our port yet, but i could see little houses, i new we were in Mexico. About 45 minutes later we arrived at our frst port and layed down our anchor, we were next to another Royal Caribbean ship, Serenade of the seas. My parents went to this port by themselves, witch gave me time to explore the ships amentities. I found a pool deck, rock climbing wall, theatre, game rooms, and all sorts of things. I had a blast by myself, it was so fun. My parents eventually came back with the tender boats and we headed for our second port, Mazetlan. luckly i was able to attend this port, we docked at this port. I really did not like this port, it smelled and every where we went there were people trying to sell us stuff. We went to a nearby beach in a taxi, and still people were trying to sell us products. The beach was really fun though, we got to go on jet skies, wakeboard, and check out the scenery. As we headed back to the ship, i really did not want to go to our last port Puerto Vaillarta. I got up at a relly great time to see the ship manuver into the dock. From my balcony, we turned about 360 degrees in a really small dock. It was so cool how the officers were able to do that! We also did not have to anchor at this port, we were able to get right off the ship with no hussel. We took a bus to go horse back ridingin the forest. As we left the parking lot, i looked back and saw the huge ship tower over the city. We got to the ranch and had a little tour before going horse back riding. Me and my brother were first timers at riding a horse. It turned out to be a really fun experience. About halfway throgh riding we stopped at a little outide bar thing next to a deep spot of river that you could ride your horse in the water and get soked. As we headed back to the ship, i was really depressed that we were heading home, but we still had one whole day left. We got to do a lot of things on that last day, we did almost everything left to do on the ship. Me and my brother played tag all over the shipm, it was so fun. The day we left to go home, i new i would never get cruise ships off my mind, they were so cool. So take a cruise to get a way from it all, no cars, traffic, or work problems or anything like that. So take my advice and try it for yourself, you never know if you never try.
